Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has commented that the club do not need to sell Barcelona and Manchester United target Paul Pogba this summer but is expecting a bid from Real Madrid for Arturo Vidal.
Marotta believes that Real Madrida s new manager Rafael Benitez has always admired Arturo Vidal and is likely to bid for him this summer. Vidal was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but the deal reportedly fell through due to concerns over his fitness issues. However with the Chilean international leading Juventus to a brilliant season, Marotta believes that the club is expecting a bid from Real Madrid for Vidal who has two years left on his contract with the club.
a Real Madrid did not make an attempt to sign him but it is probable that Real will do this in the future because Benitez knows Arturo very well.”
However, the one player who has attracted the most interest in the Juventus squad is Paul Pogba, who is likely to become the subject of a transfer tug of war this summer with Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid, amongst other clubs, interested in his services. Though Juventus are expected to cash in on the French midfielder this summer, Marotta believes that the club do not have to sell him as the player is happy at the club.
“We do not need to sell him and I’m sure he’s happy at Juventus.”
