Manchester United’s own Wayne Rooney slapped fellow Englishman Wade Barrett, a 6 foot 7 inch WWE wrestler, at a WWE event at the Manchester Arena.
Rooney was attending Monday Night Raw, a popular WWE program, along with son Kai and former United teammates Ryan Giggs and Darren Fletcher, now at West Bromwich Albion, when Wade Barrett made the mistake of trying to mock the veteran English footballer.
Rooney once again displayed his striking skills by laying a slap on Wade. Here’s the video.

All Part of the Show Everyone knows that WWE is a scripted program and it looks like Wayne Rooney was just helping out the business. At least that’s what this photo with WWE COO Triple H, which was clicked at the same event, seems to imply.

From his epic goal celebration last season to this latest incident, looks like Wayne Rooney’s striking skills are evolving every day. Let’s hope that translates from the wrestling arena onto the football pitch.
