Israel’s Tal Ben Haim II used sorcery to jinx a Gareth Bale free-kick in last night’s 0-0 draw in Euro 16 qualifiers.
Isreal played out a 0-0 draw with Wales at the Cardiff City stadium last night, but one bizarre incident stood out from the match. As Gareth Bale lined up to take a free-kick from just outside Israel’s box, forward Tal Ben Haim II was seen making hand gestures resembling that of a sorcerer in a bid to jinx the Real Madrid superstar’s free-kick.
Tal Ben Haim II plays for Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv, which made it to the group stages of this season’s Champions League after beating FC Basel in the third qualifying round.
Isreal moved to 13 points in the Euro qualifying round and are two points above 4th placed Bosnia and Herzegovina with two round of fixtures remaining. Wales top the group with 18 points and are almost certain to feature in next year’s finals in France.
Here’s the video of the Tal Ben Haim II jinxing Gareth Bale’s free-kick.
