The legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed the reason for his focus on getting young players through at the club in audio excerpts posted from his new book ‘Leading’ on Manchester United twitter page.
Manchester United have always been a club famous for promoting players from their academy. The trend was particularly on it’s peak during the Sir Matt Busby era.
In modern times, Sir Alex Ferguson once again focused on getting players through from the academy as his time saw the likes of Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Neville brothers, Butt, Evans etc. come through the ranks.
Ferguson revealed the reason of why he focused on promoting youth in his new book, the audio excerpt of which is posted below.
