As Arsenal FC prepare to host Liverpool FC in a crunch Premier League tie, Mesut Ozil reflected on last seasona s fixture, when a brilliant team performance saw Arsenal FC maul Liverpool FC 4-1, with Ozil scoring a wonderful freekick.

Arsenal brushed aside Liverpool at the Emirates, racing into a three goal lead at halftime.

Hector Bellerin curled home after poor defensive work from Alberto Moreno, who allowed too much space to the defender in the box. Mesut Ozil doubled the lead with an inch-perfect free-kick that the goalkeeper could do nothing about and Alexis Sanchez thundered a third past Simon Mignolet before half-time as Arsenal ran riot.

A Jordan Henderson penalty did give the travelling Liverpool FC fans something to cheer about with 14 minutes remaining, but, Olivier Giroud put the icing on the cake in stoppage time as the Reds season went off track with Arsenal going onto finish a steady third.

Ozil was the star man on the day, chipping in with a couple of assists and scoring a brilliant free-kick goal.

.

And the German star reveals in the video below he hit five free-kicks into that exact spot in the warm-up, and had decided that he would go for it in the match.
