Chelsea FC secured the signature of Nantes defender Papy Djilobodji for a fee of A?4m yesterday. We look at the defender’s showing in 2014-15.
Nantes confirmed the sale of the 26-year-old defender to Chelsea FC, last night. He signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge as the Blues continue to go through defensive problems.
Jose Mourinho turned to Djilbodji, a 6ft 4in centre-back, after failing to sign Everton’s John Stones, as per reports in BBC.
Djilobodji was in the last year of his contract,, having made 183 appearances for Nantes since joining the French outfit in 2010.
