Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho rubbished Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard’s claim that John Terry was dropped last night because of friction between the Portuguese and the former England international.
When a team starts to lose games, all sorts of rumors start to emerge. Following Chelsea FC’s poor start to the season, rumors were beginning to emerge of a conflict between Jose Mourinho and John Terry, after the latter was substituted at half time in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the second game of the season.
Terry was dropped from the Champions League game last night, leading to the suggestion made by new BT Sport analyst Steven Gerrard that it might potentially be due to the relationship between Terry and Mourinho souring.
However, following the 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv, the Portuguese rubbished those claims, while maintaining that he is still close to the current LA Galaxy man.
