Mesut zil is on tremendous form at the moment, and the Germany international just can’t stop — assisting his teammates, as he carries Arsenal FC to the top of the Premier League table (although temporarily).
Aston Villa were never expected to pose much of a challenge for the Gunners, even though they were playing at their home, Villa Park. As expected, Arsenal had no problem breaking the deadlock, on the 8th minute, when striker Olivier Giroud converted a penalty.
However the champagne started at the end of the first half, when zil was set through on goal, and he squared it off to Aaron Ramsey, who only had to tap it into an empty net.
This was zil’s 13th assist in the league, and the German star seems to be well on his way to set an assists record in the Premier League.
