Former England defender Rio Ferdinand spoke to England U16 internationals recently about what it means to represent the country at major tournaments, as also about the attitude and hard work needed to rise to the very top

The Manchester United legend delivered a motivational speech to the young England internationals, citing the example of Cristiano Ronaldo as a player who worked extremely hard to get to the very top of world football.
Ferdinand also revealed that he would like to be a manager some day, while encouraging the England U16 team to set targets for themselves and raise those targets as and when they were met.
In a question and answer session that followed, the former United centre-back chose Nemanja Vidic as his best defensive partner, while also explaining what he feels is the difference between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
