Both the players were in attendance in the UEFA Champions League group stage draw as Messi was eventually declared the winner of the UEFA Best Player in Europe award ahead of Luis Suarez.
The feisty former Liverpool FC striker has a reputation of biting his opponent, having bitten Otman Bakkal, Branislav Ivanovic and Giorgio Chiellini.
Before the ceremony, Suarez was seen playfully attempting to bite Messi, who managed to get away from the Uruguayan.
