Liverpool FC pulled off a shocker at the Etihad Stadium by completely dismantling Manchester City, taking a 3-0 lead in the 32nd minute thanks to a delightful back heel by Emre Can.
The Reds were all about attack as they faced off against the side that had started the day as league leaders, putting 4 past a hapless defense as they romped to a 4-1 victory against Manchester City. Liverpool FC opened the scoring with an own goal from City’s Eliaquim Mangala, followed by goals from Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Martin Skrtel.
The best goal of the evening was arguably the third goal, which was a brilliant bit of team play leading to a tap in by Firmino. This back heel by German midfielder Emre Can set up the Brazilian beautifully.
