Delle Alli has been an absolute revelation for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team, and has attracted praises from all corners of the the footballing community. The most recent praise comes from none other than former Liverpool FC and England Steven Gerrard.
However, in his panel discussion on BT Sport, Gerrard also criticised Liverpool FC for being unable to sign Alli, who is known to be a Reds supporter from childhood.

Liverpool FC had apparently tried to sign the youngster from MK Dons earlier, and had even agreed for a A?3 million transfer fee and personal terms with Alli, according to the Daily Mirror. The Reds management however, had thought that the Englishman was below standards at that moment, and pulled the plug on the deal at the last moment.
Since then, Alli has gone on to sign for Tottenham Hotspur, for a fee of A?5 million, and his career seems to be blooming at the North London club.
