[Video] Late Messi And Aguero Strikes Help Argentina Rescue Draw Against Mexico

FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi scored in the dying minutes of the game to rescue a draw for Argentina against Mexico in last night’s friendly. Sergio Aguero had pulled one back in the 85th minute.

The South American giants took on Mexico at the AT&T stadium in Texas, where Mexico looked set to win the match before a late fightback from Argentina.

Former Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez gave El Tri the lead in the 19th minute, when he stepped up and scored from the penalty spot after being brought down by Nicolas Otamendi inside the box. Chicharito had the chance to score another when he raced through on goal, but missed the one-on-one opportunity.

Hector Herrera doubled the home side’s lead in the 70th minute. The FC Porto midfielder got hold of the ball on the edge of the box and fired in a shot which ricocheted of goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman and went in.

Sergio Aguero pulled one back in the 85th minute, when he tapped into an open goal after some horrific goalkeeping from Moises Munoz who went to claim a through ball and made a mess of it. Ezequiel Lavezzi capitalized on this mistake and crossed the ball for Aguero to tap in.

Aguero then turned provider in the 89th minute when he picked out a brilliant Messi run. The FC Barcelona superstar controlled the ball with his chest before rifling in a shot on the volley.
