As Manchester City beat Crystal Palace with an emphatic margin of 5-1, at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, the Capital One Cup fixture brought out another future star from Manchester — this time, out of it’s Blue half.

.

Kelechi Iheanacho has been rampant against Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace, scoring the injury-time winner against them, in their last meeting. This time however, as Manuel Pellegrini restored more confidence in the 19-year-old by playing him in the starting XI the young forward grabbed his opportunity with both hands by scoring done goal, and setting up two more.

This win leaves the Capital One Cup without any participants from London, at the quarter final stages, and Pellegrini’s men look to be favourite to get the silverware.
