Liverpool FC have had a rather poor start to the new season and manager Brendan Rodgers has come under increased pressure. Legendary commentator John Motson has suggested that there is a media conspiracy against the Northern Irishman which is piling on more pressure on him.

.

Since wining their opening two games against Stoke and Bournemouth, Liverpool FC have failed to win in their six games in all competition. The mannaer of loss at the hands of Manchester United at Old Trafford along with the poor showing last season meant the calls for the head of Brendan Rodgers was on an all-time high.

And while Liverpool FC played much better against Norwich City at home then they have had for the entire season, the 1-1 draw meant more negative press and discontent among fans as the win-less run stretch to 6 games.

However, legendary commentator John Motson is baffled at the knee-jerk criticism coming on the way of the Northern Irishman who has lost players like Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling, and Daniel Sturridge has hardly featured since the amazing second place finish two years ago.

Speaking on BBCa s the Monday Night Club, Motson said: a If we can put things in perspective, two years ago he nearly won the league.

a What do Liverpool seriously expect? They havena t won the league for over 20 years. I think therea s an agenda there, and I think therea s certain people driving it.a

The video clip of full comments of Motson suggesting media conspiracy against Brendan Rodgers can be watched below.
