Liverpool held on to a 0-0 draw against Arsenal FC at the Emirates to take a crucial point in the race for top four. A key performer in the game, who helped the Reds keep the clean sheet, was Joe Gomez. The teenager was hailed by Liverpool FC fans on twitter following yet another solid display.
.
Joe Gomez signed for Liverpool FC in the summer and had played in both opening games for the Reds, putting in solid performances to ensure that they keep a clean sheet in both games.
Facing his sternest test till date, Gomez was faultless as he held off, first, Aaron Ramsey and then Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while displaying a tremendous level of maturity and composure for an 18 year old.
There was also an incredible run in the dying minutes of the game in which Gomez displayed pace to burn, single-handedly dribbling the ball 70-yards.
Liverpool FC fans were visibly delighted by the teenager and took to twitter to express it. The video of his performance can be seen below:

Clyne can properly defend. Gomez looks at home at this level. Lovren and Skrtel dominant. And playing like a unit, defending as a team. Nice

Skirtel had a great game so did Mignolet, Coutinho, Clyne but I’d say Gomez could easily be MOTM. Great signing. #lfc
