Argentina international Sergio Romeo came under the spotlight after a poor display in Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea City on Sunday.

The goalkeeping situation at the club was discussed in the Sky Sports studio by regular pundits Neville and Carragher, prior to the game at the Liberty Stadium.

The Red Devils still have the likes of Victor Valdes, Sergio Romero, Anders Lindegaard, Sam Johnstone and David de Gea in their ranks. With the Real Madrid saga refusing to die down, however, De Gea has been kept away from the squad.

Nevilla and Carragher give their take on Romero pre-game. The comments are even more interesting now, with the benefit of hindsight, in light of the Argentinian’s less-than-convincing performance on Sunday.
