Former Manchester United Captain Roy Keane, who serves as the assistant coach for the Republic of Ireland, was in a jubilant mood and was seen joking about a controversy from his playing days.

.

Roy Keane, known for his aggressive and combative attitude, was seen laughing about the incident from the 2002 FIFA World Cup, when he was sent off after having confronted the then manager Mick McCarthy over a lack of preparation ahead of their campaign.

Republic of Ireland managed to see off the challenge posed by Bosnia and Herzegovina over a two-legged play-off, courtesy a brace from Jon Walters, sealing their place in the UEFA Euro 2016 edition.

The Republic of Ireland assistant coach joked about the Saipan incident, as he declared that the current side will not travel to France to just make up the numbers but will be vying for a spot in the knockout stages.
