Manchester United star Wayne Rooney became England’s top goalscorer of all time when he scored from the penalty spot in the win against Switzerland. The victory ensured that England qualified for EURO 2016 as winners of their group.

Rooney scored his 50th goal in an England shirt as the Three Lions beat Switzerland 2-0.
The Manchester United star beat United legend Sir Bobby Charltona s record of 49 goals that had stood for 55 years and was given the no. 50 shirt by manager Roy Hodgson to honour the achievement.
The presentation saw Rooney receive rapturous reception by his teammate and the attacker followed it up with a speech.
