Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho made the decision to bench temperamental striker Diego Costa for the match against Spurs, which they drew nil-nil, and the Spaniard exhibited his displeasure in an audacious manner.
After their fall-out during the match against Macabi Tel-Aviv in the Champions League, Mourinho claimed that he and Diego Costa had sorted out their problems with “a few kisses and a few cuddles”. But it seems like that wasn’t all there was to it, as the Portuguese manager dropped Costa from the starting XI against Tottenham Hotspur.
Diego Costa simmered on the bench for a while and then after warming up only to realise Mourinho was not going to send him on, grumbled back to his chair and throwing his warm up bib in the direction of the manager.
Here’s a vine of the incident.
Jose insists there is no problem between him and @diegocosta, despite the striker throwing his bib… . #TOTCHE https://t.co/QrYVruIrEE
