A 3-1 victory over Sunderland was not enough to win back the admiration of the Cheslea FC fans, as the players faced the full brunt of the Stamford bridge faithful during Saturday evening’s match.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, and Nemanja Matic have been a mere shadow of themselves this season, drawing a lot of criticism. On the flip side, it was their stellar performances that brought Chelsea FC the Premier League title last season.
.
However, after Jose Mourinho was sacked citing the poor performance of the team, the fans seemed to turn on these very players, as they booed them when their names were called out. Both Fabregas and Costa were jeered by the fans when the announcer called out their names while reading the team sheets.

Chelsea FC’s poor performance at Leicester City, where they lost 2-1 was followed by Mourinho indicating that the players had betrayed him. With his sacking following a few days after, it was clear, that questions would be raised if the players started performing well after Mourinho’s departure. And that seems to be exactly what the Chelsea FC faithful were asking the player — “Where were you on Monday night?”
