Gerard Deulofeu, a product of the famed La Masia youth academy, showed his pedigree in Everton FC’s Capital One Cup quarter-final encounter against Championship side Middlesbrough.

21-year-old Spaniard Gerard Deulofeu scored a brilliant individual goal in the 20th minute to open Everton’s scoring in an eventual 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough. Deulofeu was an ever-present threat during the match and even went on to provide a sublime assist for Romelu Lukaku to score the Toffees’ second goal.

Here’s a video of his creation of the second goal, showing just how he bamboozles a Middlesbrough defender before producing a lovely assist for Lukaku.
