Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi suffered a sickening injury playing for the French U21 side in their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland on Friday evening
Although the full extent of the injury is as yet unknown, France’s medical team were able to confirm that Jordan Amavi suffered a sprained knee on Friday, forcing him to come off the field early against Northern Ireland.
The Aston Villa left-back got his right foot caught in the turf, causing his knee to twist at a sickening angle as he slid past the touchline. New Villa manager R mi Garde could be dealt a major blow if there is indeed damage to the ligaments.
