The German playmaker has had an amazing assists record this season and set up two more goals during the match to take his assists tally to 15 for the season, as Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud were helped on their way to finding the back of the net.
Walcott was all praise for his German teammate in the post match presentation, but zil himself deflected away the questions about his good form, choosing to remain as humble as ever.
Walcott even went on to say that “he sees things that players don’t even see on the pitch”. The England international also said that zil puts in the shifts to help out in defence and this is what makes the German a complete footballer.
