Arsenal FC superstar Alexis Sanchez, who is currently on extended holidays, after helping his country Chile to their maiden Copa America title, is training rigorously on a beach.
The Chilean famous for his relentless style of play, has been busy trying to return to full-fitness, ahead of joining team-mates in London on the 3rd of August. The 26-year-old posted two videos on his Instagram account, showing his training on the beach.
Alexis is seen training even on holidays
Alexis is expected to miss the Gunners start of the season, as he will only return to training, after the completion of the Community Shield, and will not be fit to start for some time following his absence from the field, due to holidays. The former FC Barcelona forward, missed the Gunners pre-season tour of Singapore, where the club beat Singapore XI and Everton to win the Barclays Asia trophy. The North London outfit then annihilated Olympique Lyon in the first of two Emirates Cup matches, before beating Wolfsburg 1-0 to win the trophy.
In the two videos posted on Instagram the Chilean forward, is seen displaying his strength as he leaps high in the air to connect with a header, in the first video, while he makes a sprint in the second one from standing start, showing off his burst of pace.
Arsene Wenger had earlier commented on when his last year’s Player of the Season could feature for Arsenal FC, saying that he will definitely miss the first game of the new season against West Ham on 9th of August.:
‘He will be back on August 3 and usually it takes three weeks to be competitive.
‘With Alexis it could be a little bit less. He will certainly miss the first game.’
Sanchez to add more fire-power to Arsenal FC’s attack
Sanchez was scintillating in his debut season in the English Premier League following his A?32 million switch from Catalan giants, FC Barcelona. He scored 25 goals in 52 appearances for the Gunners, helping them win the FA Cup for the record 12th time.
The 26-year-old will already improve an impressive Gunners side, who have maintained a cent percent record in the pre-season so far, and face their sternest test of all in the Community Shield on the weekend against title-holders Chelsea FC.
