Adam Lallana scored a great goal to give Liverpool a 1-1 half-time scoreline against Brisbane Roar in the club’s second pre-season friendly.

Rodgers plays strong team

Brendan Rodgers fielded a strong line-up in this game and it could be seen why as the opponents were much more competitive than Liverpool’s previous team the side faced, Thai All Stars. In a 4-3-3 formation, Rodgers played Lallana on the left and Danny Ings on the right with Divock Origi operating through the middle.

The Australian side went ahead early in the game courtesy a strike from Dimitri Petratos, but Liverpool ensured they were not left embarrassed in a pre-season friendly. After going behind, Brendan Rodgers’ team played well. They earned a well deserved equalizer as Adam Lallana scored a beautiful goal to ensure Liverpool went level at half time.

In the second half, new signing James Milner scored the winning goal, a great one at that, as the Reds came from behind to win 2-1. It was the 29-year-olda s first goal in a Liverpool shirt.

Lallana scores two goals in two games

There were many impressive players and moments from the match but it was Adam Lallana’s beautiful equalizer that was eventually the best moment of the night. James Milner picked out Lallana, who cut inside and curled in a thumping goal into the far corner. Lallana, who desperately needs to do well and justify his 25m tag this season, has done well in this pre-season and scored two goals including this sweet strike against today’s opponents
