UEFA Champions League: Twitter Reacts To Anthony Martial Handball and Goal, As Manchester United Get Draw Against CSKA Moscow

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial might have committed the handball inside his own penalty area that lead to CSKA Moscowa s goal, but the 19-year-old did make up for his mistake, and leveled the scores up, allowing his side to get a result out of a difficult game.

Martial has been mesmerising one and all since his move to the Red Devils earlier this summer, and he added another great goal to his repertoire, on a fateful Wednesday night in Moscow.

What made things even more difficult for Manchester United, was the fact that it was below freezing point, in Moscow, when the players took to the pitch. They would have been thankful though, as the forecast had said that it would be colder.

Temperature in Moscow has improved to -2 C. Not that the folks on pitch will appreciate the change. #cskavmufc

Fans can get very critical on Twitter, wrong pronunciation by a expertsa is never properly appreciated by the Twitterati.

Since when was it acceptable to pronounce CSKA as “siska” ?? #MUFC #cskavmufc @talkSPORT

Manchester United Keeper David de Gea had saved the penalty after Martial handled the ball inside the box, but was unlucky, when Seydou Doumbia slotted-in the rebound, to open the score for CSKA Moscow.

Poor De Gea. CSKA 1-0 up!! #cskavmufc https://t.co/YgfTJ5iPnO

Manchester United tried to attack the CSKA area after the goal, but they lacked pace and variation, to make any real difference. Manager Louis van Gaal came under heavy criticism for his tactics, at this point.

When you have 79% possession (?Y??) for a whole 45 minutes and still cannot win the game ?Y? Y – That is @ManUtd , #cskavmufc #CSKAMUN #MUFC

Proof tonight that LVG invented over 50’s walking football. #cskavmufc

However, Martial restored parity in the second half, and this seemed to make a lot of the Manchester United fans happy. Here are some of the best reactions to Martiala s goals.

Kudos to @AnthonyMartial for keeping his head up and coming up with a goal..not many players could have done that #cskavmufc #CSKAMUN #MUFC

Two home game wins a must. Ten points will get us through, IMO. Need a better display on Sunday. #mufc #cskamun
