Manchester United were humiliated by newly promoted side AFC Bournemouth, who are playing their first premier league season, and Twitter reacted in rage as the Red Devils failed to impress yet again.

This is the latest in a string of bad results for the Red Devils which saw them eliminated from the Champions League, but it looks like it’s done nothing to improve the teams form in the Premier League. Twitter blew up at their shock loss away to The Cherries.

Check out how fans of both clubs reacted below.

@D_DeGea @ManUtd Let’s just go to the Winchester, have a pint and wait for this to all blow over.

Going into this season with one proven frontline striker is appearing a little questionable for LvG and #mufc …

Even I don’t like seeing Manchester United play such turgid football. a Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 12, 2015

Louis Van Gaal is supposed to be the mastermind at Old Trafford, but his hilarious and absurd post match comments made many question the reasons behind that decision.

But let’s not forget that this is a momentous occasion in the history of AFC Bournemouth and they will be talking about this for years to come.

Bournemouth trending on Twitter is their biggest achievement in their entire history.
