It’s no small secret that Arsenal’s fans are a vocal lot. When the transfer window closed on Tuesday morning, Arsenal fans seemed understandably irate.

The club had signed only one player– former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. Amongst the outfield positions that Arsenal needed to strengthen, the one of the striker required the foremost attention.

The announcement that Danny Welbeck, the club’s only back-up to Olivier Giroud, would be missing three months to undergo a knee surgery, was met with nearly untempered rage.

Danny Welbeck has missed more days through injury at Arsenal (189 days), than his previous 5 years at Man United and Sunderland (138 days)

Danny Welbeck finally establishes himself as an Arsenal player after it’s revealed he will be ruled out for months following knee surgery.

Danny Welbeck should really stop trying to be like Sturridge. It’s getting annoying.
