Twitter Reactions: Arsenal FC Goalkeeper Petr Cech Calls Himself Darth Vader After Getting Clean Sheet Record

Petr Cech is certainly one of those characters, whom most people will think twice before hating. The Arsenal FC goalkeeper etched his name in the Hall of Fame on Sunday after getting his 169th Premier League clean sheet, against Aston Villa.

He equaled the record that was till that point, being held by former England keeper David James.

Great win ,clean sheet ,top of the league … Thanks for all the congratulations… It’s an honour for me ! as? 169 pic.twitter.com/lXLP2RkmZX

Even his wife joined in on the celebration, as he posted on his Twitter handle.

Found this in the morning ?Y? … My wife’s baking … ?Y?? pic.twitter.com/qk38C8iv5T

However, the big Arsenal FC keeper, who had made his move to the North London club, earlier this year from Chelsea FC, seemed to be a bit too delirious about his new record. In fact, Cech fished out an old graphic that some Chelsea FC fan made of him.

This graphic showed how Cech slowly started turning into the Darth Vader, after he started wearing a scrum helmet to the matches since suffering a severe head injury.

Btw new Star Wars “The force awakens” is apparently coming this week … ?Y? pic.twitter.com/mE2aoG0JVC

Here are some of the best fan-reactions to Cech’s tweet.
