Twitter laughs as West Ham defeat Manchester City to halt their winning streak

West Ham United brought Manchester Citya s winning streak to a crashing halt, on Saturday, after emerging 2-1 victorious at the Etihad stadium.
Manchester City, on a five match winning streak in the Premier League, were expected to return to their winning ways after having lost to last seasona s UEFA Champions League finalists, Juventus, in the midweek Champions League clash. West Ham, under Slaven Bilic had other ideas, having stolen points from Arsenal and Liverpool in previous fixtures and were looking to fight tooth and nail for it.

In the end, it was the visiting team that emerged victorious with goals from Chelsea loanee Victor Moses drilling in his first West Ham goal with a low 20-yard shot which went inside Joe Hart’s left-hand post. This was in the 6th minute and West Ham had a huge morale boosting advantage. They turned their confidence into another goal through Diafra Sakho near the half-hour mark. City’s record signing Kevin De Bruyne scored a consolation goal for the side in the 45th minute, but West Ham held on and moved into second place.
