Ex-FC Barcelona and France striker Thierry Henry has praised Lionel Messi wholeheartedly for his brilliant goals against Bayern Munich last night in the UEFA Champions League semi-final match. Theirry Henry played alongside Lionel Messi at Barcelona and together they won a treble in the 2008-09 season.
Lionel Messi scored a brace in Barcelonaa s 3-0 win over Bayern Munich last night at Camp Nou. They are in a favourable position in the two-legged encounter.
Speaking about the Argentine, Henry said, “Messi is just superb. He wanted to win that game and he did it again. You just give him the ball around the box and the rest is history.
“Maybe Bayern Munich didn’t approach the game in the right way in the first half, but in the second half there wasn’t much between the two teams. Then Lionel Messi decided to win that game.
“I have seen him doing stuff in training and it is just amazing. When he gets upset, he runs around the whole team. There is nothing you can do.
“When you have Leo Messi it is a big advantage. When you have that man in your side, anything can happen.”
Thierry Henry sounded mesmerized and did not have enough words to laud the Argentine genius, Lionel Messi. Cristiano Ronaldo had overtaken Lionel Messi in the number of Champions League goals count by scoring against Juventus FC. With a brace, Messi has reached the mark of 77 goals surpassing Ronaldo again.
