Roberto Firmino is confident that he will adapt to a new style of play at Liverpool FC and is looking forward to establishing himself in the first team of the Merseyside giants.

Liverpool FC had recently announced the capture of Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim in a 29million GBP deal, beating off competition from Manchester United and Manchester City as per reports.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that the 23-year-old Brazil replicates the form that saw him score 23 goals in 66 appearances over the last two seasons in Bundesliga with Hoffenheim making him the most involved player in goals for any side in the Bundesliga during the two seasons.

In an interview with the Bundesliga club’s official website, the 23-year-old said: “I have the opportunity to start an exciting new chapter now. I am looking forward to a new challenge and am excited to find out what the Premier League has to offer.”

.

“Surely, a lot will be new to me. I will have to adapt to a new style of play but I will get my chances and use them to get better. Of course I want to be a regular starter at Liverpool and be successful with my new team.”

Firmino made a successful adaptation to life in Germany after arriving from Figueirense four years ago and has thanked his former club for their support, stating that he could never forget the city that has given him so much, including the birth of his daughter.

“I have the club to thank for so much. I do not leave here and forget this time. Also, my daughter was born here and so I will always have a very special connection. I am who I am today because of Hoffenheim.”
