Real Madrid preparing A?37.3m bid for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is attracting interest from Spain, once again.

Alexis Sanchez spent three seasons in Spain with Real Madrid’s direct rivals Barcelona, before signing for Arsenal last summer. The attacker is now reportedly the subject of interest of Barcelona’s direct rivals Real Madrid

Metro cite Spanish magazine Don Balon as their source when they claim Los Blancos are willing to offer A?37.3million, plus Denis Cheryshev, in return for Sanchez.

.

The Gunners are reportedly in the midst of offering the player a new contract, but if this speculation becomes serious, they could also find themselves in a tough position. Arsenal currently sit pretty in the second place of the Premier League table. However, they have endured an ordinary start to the new season where they have lost both their Champions League games to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos.

While Alexis might not consider Real Madrid due to his Barcelona links, if this report was genuine and Real Madrid were actually pursuing this deal seriously, it would certainly worry Arsenal fans. Real Madrid have the hold and power to lure anyone and in today’s footballing world, playing for two rival clubs would not be too much of a factor for most footballers.

The Chilean has scored five goals in the league this season. He is in emphatic form at the moment, having scored twice and set up another goal in the 4-3 rout of Peru in their second World Cup 2018 qualifier.

Arsenal’s next game in the league is against Watford following which they travel to Germany to take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
