After a disappointing season marred with injuries, Real Madrid are looking at various reinforcements to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season. Among the three positions, the central midfield area requires the most attention as last season two fatal injuries to Luka Modric saw a major drop in the Spanish giantsa performances.

It was believed earlier that Real Madrid were highly interested in signing Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain. But the Italian is no longer on their radar as PSG have developed a keen interest in Reala s star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. Los Blancos have no intensions of selling the Portuguese and they would want to avoid complications that PSG might raise for Verrattia s signature. . Arturo Vidal is one of the worlda s best midfielders and the Chilean will fit in perfectly at Real Madrid. Vidal is physically strong and also one of the best while attacking. Vidal is a world-class player but signing the Juve midfielder will pose problems for Kroos and Modric as the Serie A winner will not be satisfied with a bench-warmera s role. On the other hand, Monacoa s Kondogbia is a budding talent. The Frenchman is only 22-years old and brimming with potential. Kondogbia is a promising talent and will provide stability playing a deeper role in the midfield. The Monaco player may even accept the role of playing as a back-up to Kroos and Modric and providing support to the defence by coming on as a substitute.
