Real Madrid have denied any interest in Juventus’s French midfielder Paul Pogba. A few days back media reports in Italy suggested that Paul Pogba is tipped to join either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona. Further, it was mentioned that the Los Blancos are ready to offer him a 10 million/year wage and will place a bid somewhere around a 80 million.
But today in an official statement Real Madrid have disclosed that they are not interested in Paul Pogba and they are not intending to buy the midfielder in the summer.
The statement read: “Following the reports published in the Italian newspaper . La Stampa concerning an alleged offer from Real Madrid for the player Paul Pogba, the club wishes to state the following:
“Real Madrid have had no contact either with Juventus or the player’s agent and, as a consequence, the reports published in this newspaper are completely false.”
Pogba’s transfer rumours created a huge furore among the European media. It was reported that the Frenchman could ignore offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United to ply his trade in either of the Spanish clubs.
Paul Pogba had joined Juventus in 2012 on a free transfer from Manchester United. He has had a successful stint with the club winning several domestic Italian titles and now the club is in the finals of UEFA Champions League
