Two of the standout performers for the gunners this season have been Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Given their high-profiles, there has been much speculation about new contracts being offered. Arsene Wenger has, however, stated that everything will be done in due time.

Alexis Sanchez has had an immediate effect on the Gunners since joining from FC Barcelona for 35 million pounds in 2014, scoring 25 goals en route to the FA Cup and a third place finish last season. Mesut Ozil, signed from Barca’s rivals Real Madrid in 2013 for 42.5 million pounds, seems to have hit his stride this season, becoming the league’s highest assist provider.

Professor Wenger Thinks Everyone Should Calm Down .

Amidst all the reports concerning the contracts of two of his star players, Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to be too worried.

“We have not started to talk about that with Mesut Ozil,a Wenger told reporters on Thursday, according to Goal.com. “With Sanchez it is the same situation.”

“At the end of the year they have two and a half years on their contracts and we have some time. We are not in a hurry and we of course want them to stay. We will start the negotiations at some stage but at this point we have not started. From the new year to the summer we will certainly start it with all the players who have two years to go at the end of the season.”

Big Money Contracts On The Way

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil form the attacking focus of the Arsenal FC team and will probably become the highest paid players on the side with the new contracts. Mesut Ozil currently earns 140,000 pounds a week, making him Arsenal’s highest paid player, while Sanchez takes home 130,000 pounds a week.

Sanchez seems to have agreed on principle to a deal worth 155,000 pounds a week, according to The Independent. With two and a half years to go in both players’ contracts, it doesn’t look like Arsenal have time in their hands to come to a mutual agreement about any new contracts.
