With Chelsea coming ever so close to winning the English Premier League title this season, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpooland Manchester City are busy fighting for a Champions League spot next season. However these clubs are also likely to be working on their summer targets and will need to look only as far as Real Madrid where a host of talented players are waiting to be signed.
Raphael Varane
Definitely the biggest name on the list, Raphael Varane is likely to trigger a bidding war this summer if he agrees to leave Real Madrid. Starting below Sergio Ramos and Pepe in the pecking order, Varane is reportedly itching for more playing time and could look to make a high-profile move away from the Spanish capital.
Manchester United and Manchester City lead the race to sign the Frenchman along with Chelsea as the youngster reportedly shares a great relationship with Jose Mourinho.
Isco
With the introduction of James Rodriguez in the squad following his injury, it seems that Isco has been relegated once again to the bench. The Spaniard has been instrumental for Real Madrid this season and seemed to capitalize on Rodrigueza s absence. So much so that Carlo Ancelotti himself admitted that he could not drop Isco from the starting line-up. However the young play-maker has faced the axe with the return on the Colombian international, something that has not gone down well with the player. According to reports, Isco could be available on the market this summer as he ponders over a move that will earn him more playing time in order to develop his potential.
Isco was on the brink of joining Manchester City before he signed for Real Madrid and it seems that Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on acquiring his services if he were to leave the Spanish capital.
Jese
Jese stormed into the scene under Carlo Ancelotti last season but a knee-injury sidelined the winger for almost a year. Having made his come-back, Jese is struggling to play for Real Madrid with the imposing presence of the a BBCa (Benzema-Bale-Cristiano) in the squad. A youth-product, Real Madrid wouldna t like to part with Jese but the young Spaniard could follow Morataa s suit in order to earn a starting position outside of Madrid.
Fast, athletic and adept at dribbling past defenders, Jese makes a strong impact on the wings and could be looking for a move this summer with a buy-back clause in his contract.
Coentrao
Playing second fiddle to Marcelo at Real Madrid, Fabio Coentrao has been linked with a move away from Spain with Manchester United being his likely destination. However Van Gaal seems to have that position occupied with Luke Shaw but the Portuguese international could still be available this summer as he looks for more playing time.
27 years old, fast and dependable, Coentrao is a threat while on the attack while being defensively strong. The left-back has the ability to form an effective partnership with his other team members and has a knack for picking out the striker with his effective crosses. Remember Real Madrida s opening goal against Bayern Munich last season in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals tie?
Casillas
To say that Casillas is not the force he once used to be is not far from the truth. Prone to making errors, it seems that the Spanish captain has come to an end to his time at Real Madrid with many suitors lining up to take his place in the starting eleven for the Los Blancos.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Casillas who at the age of 33, despite his set-backs, still has a season or two left in him at the highest level.
Along with these 5, Sami Khedira also looks set to leave Real Madrid as the German international’s contract comes to an end this summer.
