PFA To Intervene In Sterling Saga As Liverpool Set To Reject New 45m Manchester City Offer

Manchester City are preparing a third bid for Liverpool FC winger Raheem Sterling which the club are set to reject as per reports in the Telegraph as Professional Footballers Association offers to mediate on the player’s increasingly bitter stand-off with the Anfield club.

The Raheem Sterling saga at Liverpool FC has been a tale of unprofessionalism and disrespect towards the clubright from day one as the winger tries to force a move away.

PFA has said it is ready to mediate on the player’s increasingly bitter stand-off with the Anfield club as Manchester City prepare a 45 million GBP offer that Liverpool are set to reject as per the Telegraph.

The report says:

City have had two offers for the England striker rebuffed by Liverpool, but made contact with Anfield officials on Friday night and it is understood a new bid of A?40 million plus A?5 million in add-ons will be made over the weekend. This falls below Liverpool’s A?50 million valuation and is almost certain to be rejected.

Gordon Taylor, the PFA chief executive, is monitoring the situation and will try to defuse tensions if both parties consider it in their interest.

The PFA had previously intervened during the height of Luis Suarez saga when the player was sent to train with the reserves. Sterlinga s 48 hour absence from Liverpool FC training ended when he rejoined to the cluba s pre-season preparations on Friday but the player could refuse to turn up for Sunday’s flight as the Liverpool squad departs for pre-season.

Liverpool FC owners have shown in the past that they will not bow to player power, with Luis Suarez asked to stay at the club despite Arsenal triggering a release clause for the player.
