Pellegrini Appeals To Fans, Players, And Staff To Stand Together

Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini has appealed to the fans, the players and the staffs to work together and show unity. He sounded confident that on Sunday the club will return to its normal levels against West Ham United.

In the pre-match press conference, Pellegrini said, a Ita s more important than ever to have the fans, the players and the staff together as one. We are one club.

“My pressure is always the same, to win every game for this team to play in the way I like the team to play.

a Last year there was more pressure when we were fighting for the title. The pressure is for us to recover our normal performance and thata s not the same as fighting for the title.

a We are thinking about the next game against West Ham on Sunday and thata s the only thing on our minds.a

In today’s game, Manchester City will miss the services of five important players namely, Vincent Kompany, Gael Clichy, James Milner, Stefan Jovetic and Wilfried Bony.

It is believed that Vincent Kompany’s injury is gruelling and the club captain may not return again in this season. He has a severe muscle injury.

The manager gave an update about his players’ injury saying, a Boyata is fit a he started working yesterday. Jovetic, Bony, Clichy, Milner and Kompany are not fit for Sunday.

a Clichy has a groin problem, while Jovetic and Bony are recovering.

a Vincent is injured a ita s very difficult to know [how long he’ll be out]. He has a muscle injury a we dona t know how many weeks. You dona t know if he will be fit before the end of the season.a

Manuel Pellegrini was asked to evaluate the club’s performance in this season to which opined, a The players always have my support a I have trust for the group. I hope we will score goals and stop conceding easy goals. With trust, we can recover.

a My responsibility is for the whole team. I choose the players and I always trust them. Results are my responsibility.

a Players have responsibility too but I choose the players.

a Ita s important to be in the Champions League. Every time you finish a season you must analyse whether youa re winning or losing.

a If we lost the last six games we wona t have the same conclusions as if we win the next six.

a Maybe you can finish second or eighth a ita s impossible to analyse before the end.a
