Arsenal FC ran riot at the Emirates stadium, as they beat French runners-up Lyon 6-0 in the first match of the Emirates Cup earlier today. Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain were instrumental in the Gunners victory over Les Gones.
The Emirates out-fit scored four goals in the space of eight first half minutes, as World Cup winning midfielder Mesut Ozil stole the show, with some breath-taking football against Lyon. Arsenal FC had six different scorers for their goals, as Olivier Giroud, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla all got their names on the score-sheet.

As The Gunners ran riot at their home turf, jubilant Arsenal FC fans took to twitter to express their delight after an absolute master-class from the North London club. Lyon didn’t know what hit them, as the Gunners went from being 0-0 at 30 minutes, to 4-0 in the 38th minute.
Mesut Ozil who has spent his first pre-season with the club, since his club record move from Real Madrid two seasons ago, is looking to be at his sublime best, as the Gunners were simply unforgiving. There have been calls from a huge section of the Arsenal FC fan-base for manager Arsene Wenger to sign a World Class striker, however, judging by the team’s form earlier today, that would not be necessary.
