Nicklas Bendtner Is Hitting The Gym Hard And Is Tired Of Being Portrayed As An Idiot

In a recent interview, Danish striker and former Arsenal legend Nicklas Bendtner has lashed out at the media for showing him in the wrong light and said he’s ready to fight for a first team place at Vfl Wolfsburg.

Nicklas Bendtner has often been regarded by football fans on the internet as the greatest player to grace the game, with the title of ‘Lord’ being attached to his name by many fans. The 27-year-old Danish striker has, however, expressed his displeasure at the media for portraying him in a bad light.

.

a I dona t say yes to every interview request. I am tired of being portrayed as an idiot. And even journalists who I trust are not capable of describing in words what I am feeling when I am not playing.a , he said, according to The Guardian.

Bend it like Bendtner

Bendtner also confirmed that he was hitting the gym hard and working on his fitness levels so that he can find himself challenging for a starting XI place, rather than warming the bench.

a You can ask anyone at Wolfsburg: Is Nicklas in the gym before training? Is Nicklas always in the gym after training? And anyone would confirm that [I am]. I have even bought an exercise bike for my flat. That I am working hard is there for everyone to see.”

a I have always had a huge desire but perhaps not always the right perspective. I used to think that a forwarda s responsibility was to score goals. Now I know that you have to run as well.a

After having described himself as a tiger towards the end of last season’s Bundesliga, Bentner also went on to explain why he was a big admirer of the tiger and its resilient traits.

a The tiger stands at the end of the food chain. He eats to survive, without any compassion, he doesna t even feel it. He is the predator par excellence, an animal of dangerous beauty.a
