Nathaniel Clyne Urges Liverpool FC Teammates To Be At Manchester United’s Throats

Liverpool FC right-back Nathaniel Clyne has warned Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United that the Anfield side will be at their throats when they meet on Saturday in the Premier League.

Clyne signed for Liverpool FC in a 12.5m GBP deal from Southampton. Before he made his move, various reports suggested that Manchester United were keen to sign the England right-back, but pulled out later on.

Clyne went on to sign for the Reds and has made a good start to life at Merseyside.

Liverpool have to be at the top of their game to win at Old Trafford: Clyne

.

Clyne was part of the victorious Southampton side at Old Trafford last season when the Saints beat United 1-0 (in January_ and has admitted that one needs to be at the top of their game to come away with three points from the home of 20-times English champions.

“One of the reasons I signed for Liverpool is to play in big matches like this,” Clyne was quoted saying by the club’s official website.

“Playing at Old Trafford last season with Southampton and getting the three points was a great feeling. It was a well-deserved victory; we played really well and you have to be on top of your game if you want to come away with three points.

“Working hard, playing on the front-foot and taking the game to them is going to be key. We can’t allow them to pass the ball around as they like to or have too much free space.

“We need to be at their throats from the start, not let them settle in the game, and with the quality we have up front we can cause them problems.”

Clyne will hope that he can come away with the win in his first Manchester United encounter with his new club and would hope his words help fire-up his Liverpool FC teammates for the Saturday clash.
