. Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has insisted that he is happy to stay at the German club amidst rumours linking him with Manchester United.

Thomas Muller has been at Bayern Munich since the age of 11 and after making steady progress through the ranks of the youth and reserve teams, the forward is currently one of the most important names in the dressing room of the German giants. At the age of 25, Muller has already laid is hands of almost every honour available in the game, with club and country. So when the German international was linked with a move to Old Trafford, United fans were quick to express their excitement and scepticism, about the possibility of this move, on social media.

According to German media Bild, Manchester United have tabled a massive offer of a 160 million, which includes both the transfer fee and wages of a five-year contract, to sign Thomas Muller. Christian Falk, chief reported of Bild, went on to say that despite the considerable amount of money offered by the English club, Bayern Munich are not willing to entertain any bid for him. He also claimed that Manchester Uniteda s chief executive Ed Woodward will personally meet Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, to convince him about this offer.

Meanwhile, Thomas Muller returned for preseason training with the rest of his teammates today and the forward was inevitably asked about Manchester Uniteda s reported interest in him. The German World Cup winner stated that he is honoured by the fact that a big club has shown interest in him, but claimed that he is happy at Bayern Munich and is looking forward to extend his stay for a long time.

“When you get an offer you consider it automatically. A request by a big club is an honour and appreciation that your output was good.

“I feel fine at Bayern and my contract runs until 2019. There is nothing more to say about this speculation.” a Thomas Muller told Sport Bild.

Mullera s teammate Bastian Schweinsteiger has also been strongly linked with Manchester United this summer, and when the forward was asked by the midfieldera s future at the club, he said: “I was on holiday so I have not seen Bastian lately. He will take a good decision on his future together with the club. Both parties won’t ask me about my opinion on the matter.

“I would be happy to play alongside him as long as possible.”
