Arsenal FC superstar Mesut Ozil is confident that his side has the quality required to get the desired result against Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage.

The Gunners demolished Manchester United in the league as Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott ran riot in the first 20 minutes of the game. However, Arsenal FC are lying at the bottom of their Champions League group table, following shocking defeats at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos.

Arsenal FC now have two tricky fixtures against Bayern Munich and they need to get results against the Bavarians to be able to harbour any hopes of making it through the Champions League group stages for the sixteenth consecutive season.

“We are not afraid of them” — Mesut Ozil on Bayern Munich

Ozil feels that his side has it in them to beat the Bundesliga outfit, who have enjoyed the perfect start to this season and destroyed Borussia Dortmund in the last encounter before the international break. The former Real Madrid midfielder also expressed his surprise that Bayern so comfortably overcame Die Schwarzgelben.

Speaking in an interview with German daily Bild, as quoted by FourFourTwo, Ozil said:

a It is true that there is a lot of pressure on us in the Champions League. We can beat Bayern, though, if we play at the same level as against Manchester United.

a I was a bit surprised to see Bayern beat Dortmund 5-1. Bayerna s results show that they are in great form.

a We have a lot of respect for Bayern, but we are not afraid of them. We are playing at home and we know how to score goals and be successful against Bayern. Of course, it will not be easy, but we have the potential to beat any team.a

Our goal is to win the Premier League title

Ozil further laid out the ambitions of his side in the league this season, insisting that the Gunners can go all the way and win the Premier League, if they can prevent major injuries from taking a toll. Arsenal FC are currently second in the league, two points behind leaders Manchester City.

a We have a great team with a lot of world-class players,a he added.

a Our goal is to win the Premier League title. I think we can achieve it this season if we do not get any major injuries. But the season is still long.a
