Manchester United’s summer signing Memphis Depay has acknowledged that he has been struggling to settle into the fast-paced English Premier League. However, the 21-year-old is confident that the move to Old Trafford was the right one for his career.
The Dutch winger moved from PSV after an incredible last year, where he was top scorer in the league with 21 goals. However, Depay has struggled to get goals so far with Manchester United. The 21-year-old is currently with the Dutch national side, who face two very important qualifiers against Kazakhtan and Czech Republic with their fate hanging in the balance.

Ia m still developing — Memphis Depay
Speaking in an interview with Telegraaf, as quoted by The Guardian, Depay said:
a There are a lot of games in Manchester. There are very few rest days and on training days you are mainly concerned with recovering. Ita s heavy, two games a week, always at a high level, and my body has to get used to that.a
a I try to manage my career in steps, and I am still in the middle. I think this was the right step and I am happy in Manchester a Ia m still developing.a
Depay has made 13 appearances for the Red Devils since making the move from Eredivisie and has scored four goals for the club. However, the winger has failed to set the league alight as was expected of him and has been withdrawn at half-time by manager Louis van Gaal on more than one occasion, most notably in the 3-0 thumping by Arsenal FC.
The Netherlands need to win their remaining two games of the Euro qualifiers to stand any chance of qualifying for the premier showpiece to be held in France next year. Danny Blind’s side have failed to win their last two encounters and currently sit fourth in their Group.
