Marcos Rojo, who was rumored to have had a bad relationship with Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal following a fine and omission from the starting XI, has stated that he has no problems with LVG.

The 25 year old Argentinian defender was one of the first players brought in by Van Gaal when he took charge of Manchester United, but has since not seen enough first team action, only recently getting a chance to start after Luke Shaw’s injury woes and United’s lack of full backs.

A Simple Relationship With a Professional Coach

“I don’t ask him why he includes me in a game when I play, so I don’t have any right in asking him why I don’t play when he decides that I don’t have to do it. It’s as simple as that.” Rojo told espnfc.com.

“Van Gaal does the same as any coach in the world. He decides who plays according to what he sees during the week, he chooses the players that he sees in the best condition and we have to accept all the decisions that the coach takes”.

“He is a very professional coach, he wants to get out the very best from each one — that doesn’t mean that he is rough. He wants his work to have success and we have to understand what he expects from each one of us.”

Rojo on the Rise

Marcos Rojo has had the opportunity to start at left back for Manchester United this season, after Luke Shaw has been sidelined for a season at least, following his horrific injury in a Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven. The Argentinian actually started out as a left back before moving positions at his previous club.

.

With Antonia Valencia also sidelined with injury and Matteo Darmian not in the form that saw him being voted the best Manchester United player of the month at the start of the season, this could be the chance for Rojo to solidify a first team spot.
