Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal spoke about his team ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Sunderland and revealed that he would be without the services of Marcos rojo and Paddy McNair along with Luke Shaw.

The English left-back suffered a double fracture in his right leg after being tackled by PSV’s Hector Moreno in the Champions League encounter. Since then, Shaw has undergone surgery and is expected to be out for up to six months. However, Van Gaal revealed that he spoke to the 20-year-old and was encouraged by the optimism shown by the youngster.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, as quoted by the club’s official website, Van Gaal said:

“I spoke to him (Luke Shaw) last night.

“He was very positive. Ita s amazing for me. There are very good signals. We have already started the rehabilitation. He shall be visited at home for the first electro muscle stimulants, so I think ita s very good.”

The former FC Barcelona manager remained coy over his starting line-up, insisting that he would make a decision on the same tomorrow. Manchester United will be without the services of Marcos Rojo, who started his first game for the club in the 3-2 win over Southampton last week. The defender is unavailable after picking up a minor injury, which saw him sit out the midweek clash against Ipswich Town.

“We have three injuries a Rojo, Shaw and Paddy McNair.

“Ita s the same and we have to wait to see how the players recover because there are only two days between the two matches. Until now I dona t know how Ia ll put the line-up.”
