Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has admitted that his future is still uncertain as he is re-evaluating his position in the squad. The Dutch international admitted that the club needs a prolific striker to compete with the likes of . Chelsea and Manchester City and claimed that he is waiting for the cluba s decision regarding his future.
Brought from Arsenal by Sir Alex Ferguson, Van Persie enjoyed a stellar season under the manager but failed to live up to his potential under David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal. The striker claimed that his tally of 10 goals this season is not good enough as a club like Manchester United needs a 20-goal-a-season striker.
a It’s not good that a top club like Manchester United does not have a scorer with 20 or more goals behind his name each season and that is why we only finished fourth.”
The striker claimed that he is evaluating a a strangea situation in his career while admitting that the club too must be evaluating its relationship with Van Persie. However the Dutchman is not one to give in to rumours and believes that his only aim is to play regularly in order to be available for the Euro 2016.
a If I am to believe the stories, around 35 new strikers will be coming in and 40 will be leaving but I have no news regarding my future.”
