Manchester United have contacted Real Madrid for four of their stars, including Gareth Bale, Cristano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Raphael Varane according to reports in Spain.

Spanish Paper AS reports that following their capture of Angel Di Maria from the Spanish capital, Manchester United are now looking to snap up other stars of Real Madrid.

United officials have requested details of a number of current Real Madrid players including Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, along with French defender, Raphael Varane.

Real Madrid have immediately rebuffed any advances for the players reminding the English club that, both, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have buy-out clauses of 1000 million euros.

The report says that the stance on Benzema is slightly more open with it being no secret that Real Madrid were expecting better from the Frenchman in the latter part of his 2014/15 season as Benzema was placed ninth in the league scoring table for the period.

Karim Benzema, has however, extend his contract with Real Madrid till 2019 and the intention is to retain the player unless Rafa Ben tez, the new Real Madrid manager, categorically states otherwise.

Raphael Varanea has a contract with Real till 2020, but, despite that the club may listen to offers for the player due to his inconsistent form and yet, insistence to be a part of starting XI, according to the report. Manchester United are aware of this situation and have made inquiries about the player.

Manchester United had been recently declared the most valuable football brand and posted a record breaking a 159 profit, prompting to reports that they have around 200 million pound to spend on new recruitment.

.

The club are in the market for a center back and a wide player as reports of links to Joao Miranda, Nicholas Otamendi, and Raheem Sterling of Liverpool FC suggest.

It will be interesting to see how the story develops, especially with Manchester United interested in Raphael Varane and Karim Benzema and Real Madrid also wanting to secure David De Gea as quickly as possible.
